99 Reasons Not to be Afraid

There are at least 99 occasions in the Bible when God instructs his people not to be afraid - listed below.

There are many other times when the same instruction is implied. e.g. In the last days when God will perform many signs and wonders - not healing and deliverance, but a shaking of the eath and heavens and the sun being darkened! At that time there will be much persecution, but God's promise in Joel 228 is "I will pour out my Spirit on all people." We will need him all the more in those days. So the sovereign Lord assures us that he will surely be with us, just as he was with the martyrs of the Reformation, and is with many today who are killed for the name of Jesus - over 7,000/year verified by Open Doors in recent years (2016), and may well be more more due to war in Syria. Every one is known to God and each have found the Lord Almighty to be true to his word. He remains totally faithful.
