In the KJV there are 69 separate occasions when Jesus uses phrase 'Verily',
      and a further 21 times it is used in Acts and the Letters.
John always (x25) uses the double words, 'truly, truly ...' or 'verily, verily ...'.
The ESV consistently uses the single word 'truly' instead of 'verily, verily'.
The NIV consistently uses the phrase 'I tell you the truth ...' or 'I tell you ...'.
